“This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, it’s hard to get licenses to be out in the Canyon, and this was an amazing chance to be able to be there and see everything.”
About the Trip
For seven unforgettable days, you’ll journey 188 miles down the Colorado River as it winds through the Marble and Grand Canyons. This once-in-a-lifetime adventure combines natural wonder, exhilarating rapids, and the camaraderie of fellow travelers.
We’ll begin our trip on May 24th at Cliff Dwellers, Arizona, gathering together before launching from Lee’s Ferry on the morning of May 25th.
From that moment until our departure on May 31st, every detail will be handled by Hatch River Expeditions—one of the oldest, most trusted outfitters in the Grand Canyon. With 50 years of experience working with Tulane, Hatch provides expert guides, motorized rafts, camping equipment, and meals that rival fine dining under the stars.
Along the way, you’ll:
-
Navigate more than 200 thrilling rapids.
-
Hike hidden side canyons and explore areas few ever see.
-
Sleep under some of the clearest night skies on Earth.
-
Enjoy hearty, delicious camp meals prepared riverside.
On the final morning, a helicopter ride will lift us out of the canyon to the Bar-10 Ranch, followed by a commuter flight back to either Cliff Dwellers (for those who drove) or Boulder City, Nevada (for those flying). Transfers from Boulder City to the Las Vegas airport are included.
